SEO Malta Website & Theme update

Hello all.

Well we’ve been quite busy lately so really haven’t had a chance to do much on the website recently. But today we upgraded Wordpress and the theme, from the old Vigilance theme to Vigilance Pro.

We really like it, and customers contact us after reading it, so “if it’s not broken..” so although everybody else seems to be going Thesis 1.7 mad, we have decided we will be sticking with Vigilance for the foreseeable future.

Other news..

It would seem our offsite blog has basically no chance of ranking #1 for superior seo malta, except in “pages from Malta” where the competition is only 237 pages

We think once the Ibiza boys actually get on the case, their truly superior technology will be pretty hard to beat, especially now they’re firing up the superior seo video channel too.

Finally if we dont post much any more for a while again, we would like to wish everybody in Malta & Gozo a successful and happy summer season 2010, if you need a website that ranks in Google fast, you know where to come

..We also found another very cool site today, blog.com.mt and set up a free blog.

Its here SEO Malta & Gozo – we figure it’s a good way to interface with the Maltese blogging community and we are curious as to the weightings for local domains and so are going to run two blogs for a little while to watch the effects of tld differences.

The global searches (ie without “Malta”) are picking up nicely now.

The user who made this search just ordered a new pre-optimized small business website in Mallorca, though our parent company in Ibiza.

We should be charging them commission and make this an affiliate site really

Optimization for Yahoo & Windows Live

While we are in the 20’s on certain target searches on Google, look what’s happened on MSN Live & Yahoo in the last month, check the absolute alignment of the results in the green box.

We focus specifically on Google optimization for two reasons..

a) They now have approximately 73% of the search market

“Google’s share of the U.S. search market continues to grow according to Hitwise data released today. (PDF download) Google’s market share rose from 72.11% in February to 72.39% in March, while both Yahoo and Live Search saw declines. Year-over-year numbers are also in Google’s favor: It’s up 8% over March 2008, while Yahoo and Live Search are down 19% and 17%, respectively.”

b) Because when you build and optimize correctly for Google, MSN Live and Yahoo generally look after themselves, and particularly so when the site is structured correctly.

You can see from the results above, and what we invariably find is that Windows Live and Yahoo are more sensitive and react quickly than Google, and also act as reasonably accurate predictors of what is to come in Google in a month or two..

SEO in Malta – the Battle Starts in Earnest

Hi all.

Just a quick update on what’s been happening since we launched our new site SEO Malta (this one) 4 months ago today.

Since then the Google search for “SEO Malta” has changed quite radically with the appearance of several seomalta domains which is good news, as we now have something to get stuck into.

Our parent company SEO Ibiza are specialists at launching new sites strongly and did so, but we’ve been too busy on other projects to do any further work on the site since then, up until now..

As their site is ranking well in the global SEO searches now, this site is tightly focused on Malta / Gozo searchers and on the business terms that we know generated the majority of the business in Ibiza following their site launch 18 months ago. In other words..

the buying keywords

..We’ll give you a clue, “SEO Malta” isn’t one of them

…if most web developers in Malta don’t know what SEO is, then you can be very sure the end customers don’t..

So far the site has generated 4 solid inquiries, one project underway, and one which is looking like turning into an alliance with one of the better Web design companies on the islands, nothing concrete yet but it’s looking good.

And considering it hasn’t been touched since launch it’s also doing OK as you can see from the Google Webmaster Tools screenshot below.

It’s been ranking #60’s for SEO and in the #40’s for Search Engine Optimization when you select “pages from Malta” ..nothing less than first page will do here.

And we’ll give the opposition one more tip because we’re nice, this is the term that’s brought in 3 out of the 4 enquiries so far..

Yes it’s a tiny search, but it’s our potential customers and converts extremely well. And we’ve just burst into Microsoft Live Search, if Google follows anything like that, we’re laughing..

Hi and welcome to SEO Malta, the Malta SEO Division of SEO Ibiza.

We provide SEO website optimization services for your Malta or Gozo websites and also supply small business website design packages.

This site was very quickly designed as a demonstration website and an online presence in the area. The domain was first registered on 5th Dec 2008 (2 days ago) and is intended to show just how fast our new seo website packages can penetrate their target searches in Google.
