SEO in Malta - the Battle Starts in Earnest

Hi all.

Just a quick update on what’s been happening since we launched our new site SEO Malta (this one) 4 months ago today.

Since then the Google search for “SEO Malta” has changed quite radically with the appearance of several seomalta domains which is good news, as we now have something to get stuck into.

Our parent company SEO Ibiza are specialists at launching new sites strongly and did so, but we’ve been too busy on other projects to do any further work on the site since then, up until now..

As their site is ranking well in the global SEO searches now, this site is tightly focused on Malta / Gozo searchers and on the business terms that we know generated the majority of  the business in Ibiza following their site launch 18 months ago.  In other words..

..We’ll give you a clue, “SEO Malta” isn’t one of them

…if most web developers in Malta don’t know what SEO is, then you can be very sure the end customers don’t..

So far the site has generated 4 solid inquiries, one project underway, and one which is looking like turning into an alliance with one of the better Web design companies on the islands, nothing concrete yet but it’s looking good.

And considering it hasn’t been touched since launch it’s also doing OK as you can see from the Google Webmaster Tools screenshot below.

It’s been ranking #60’s for SEO and in the #40’s for Search Engine Optimization when you select “pages from Malta”  ..nothing less than first page will do here. 

And we’ll give the opposition one more tip because we’re nice, this is the term that’s brought in 3 out of the 4 enquiries so far..

Yes it’s a tiny search, but it’s our potential customers and converts extremely well. And we’ve just burst into Microsoft Live Search, if Google follows anything like that, we’re laughing..
